I was born and raised in Utah in the Salt Lake Valley, where I spent most of my days outside—hiking, fishing, hunting. enjoying time with my family, campfires and Dutch oven cooking. The outdoors was my playground from dawn to dusk, and it is still where I feel most at home.
My mom was my greatest inspiration.
She started painting later in her life and she had a natural talent.
I also didn’t start painting until till later in my life, and I now realize that this was one of the best gifts she gave to me.
When I discovered oil painting, something just clicked. I fell in love with the process—and with capturing the beauty of the Western landscape that I’ve admired my whole life. The colors of the mountains, the trees, the ever-changing sky… they just speak to me.
Art transports you to a special place and time. It lets you relive memories, reflect on the beauty around us. This is what I hope to share with others thru my paintings.
“To me, art isn’t a destination—it’s a journey. And this world is a beautiful place.”
